Designer Damon Liss helped a young family acquire a pair of three-bedroom units to be knocked together during a developer’s conversion of two warehouses. Wunderground Architecture + Design principal Nancy Nienberg handled the architectural aspects of the combination job, Liss the finishing touches. The new total of 6,400 square feet on two floors left plenty of space for luxury. Dark-stained oak floorboards flow throughout, and both levels are splashed with vintage and contemporary pieces that give personality and life.
Chandeliers by Iacoli & McAllister hang in the playroom over a deep blue sea of an L-shaped sectional and bright orange pouf/table. Round area rugs with colorful concentric circles soften the room’s hard angles.
