For the design of its NYC Flagship, the Milan-based apparel and lifestyle brand Montcler reached out to the firm of Gilles & Boissier, with whom they had previously worked on several shops worldwide. The result–a nod to the company’s Gallic origins–plays out like a grand Parisian apartment, with acres of marble, an abundance of carved wood, and rich colors and sumptuous textures throughout.
In the stairwell, ebonized oak boiserie meets Italian statuary marble. Oiled bronze handrails provide support against the dizzying effect of such extravagance.
