For the design of its NYC Flagship, the Milan-based apparel and lifestyle brand Moncler reached out to the firm of Gilles & Boissier, with whom they had already worked on several shops worldwide. The result, a nod to the company’s Gallic origins, plays out like a grand Parisian apartment, with acres of marble, an abundance of carved wood, and rich colors and sumptuous textures throughout.
In a fitting room, benches upholstered in deliciously rich leather and gold-trimmed stools provide stylish perches for both customers and employees. The sanguine rug paired with ornate black trim skews Goth, accentuating the modernity of the clothing.
