Interior designer Laura Bohn and her partner, general contractor Richard Fiore, have redone their homes over ten times. This weekend getaway was a “fall-down, rather than a teardown”; it therefore gave them plenty of opportunity for remodeling. The bones were secured and reimagined with industrial overtones. Materials include plenty of wood, stone flooring, unfinished metals, and exposed concrete, their quiet tones receding in favor of the framed views of the woods and art on the walls.
The unexpected–but entirely appropriate–mix of furnishings gives this sitting room casual flair. A rattan couch with colorful throw pillows is paired with a tufted leather ottoman and metal side table.
