Interior designer Laura Bohn and her partner, general contractor Richard Fiore, have redone their homes over ten times. This weekend getaway was a “fall-down, rather than a teardown”; it therefore gave them plenty of opportunity for remodeling. The bones were secured and reimagined with industrial overtones. Materials include plenty of wood, stone flooring, unfinished metals, and exposed concrete, their quiet tones receding in favor of the framed views of the woods and art on the walls.
Flooring in the kitchen is slate, providing an earthy base for the sleek finishes. The large table / counter is white solid surface with chrome legs. High stools are curvy and mod, lined up beneath the retro dome pendants.
