One could say a love of renovation brought them together: interior designer Laura Bohn and her partner, general contractor Richard Fiore, have redone their homes over ten times. This weekend getaway was a “fall-down, rather than a teardown”; it there-fore gave them plenty of opportunity for remodeling. The bones were secured and reimagined with industrial overtones. Materials include plenty of wood, slate flooring, unfinished metals, and exposed concrete, their quiet tones receding in favor of the framed views of the woods and art on the walls.
One of three bedrooms features a bed in walnut with a linen-covered headboard. The gray walls and richly-textured carpet provide a sleek, chic envelope for furnishings and artwork alike.
