Just outside downtown Miami, among bridges, freeways, and ample foot traffic, the East Hotel provides a dose of instant serenity, incorporating the basic elements of wa-ter, earth, and fire. The muted overall palette was conceived as a “virtual hug” by de-signer Clodagh. In both public and private spaces, a carefully-curated selection of ma-terials and furnishings create a unique, biophilic experience for guests fortunate enough to stay here.
An apartment’s cocktail table is made from gnarled teak roots. The large, L-shaped so-fa is upholstered in subtly-textured silk, the striped rug adding a beach-y vibe.
